On their way to Schefferville, a remote village in northern Quebec to finalize the sale of a cottage, Sophie and Mathieu find themselves unwittingly caught up in a serious and unexpected situation. Forced to stay longer than anticipated while a police investigation gets underway, hampered by the limited resources available in the area, the couple finds themselves isolated from the rest of the world, in rare contact with the local Indigenous reality. The couple's relationship is put to the test as each takes a different path in response to this oppressive situation, in this closed setting of wide open spaces.
