While traveling to Schefferville, an isolated village in northern Quebec, to finalize the sale of a cottage, Sophie and Mathieu find themselves unwittingly embroiled in a serious and unexpected situation. Forced to stay longer than anticipated while a police investigation, hampered by limited resources, gets underway, the couple finds themselves cut off from the rest of the world, experiencing for the first time the local Indigenous reality. Their relationship is put to the test as they each take opposing paths in the face of this oppressive situation, trapped in the vast wilderness.
